In an atmosphere of pride and recognition, more than 1,000 students from the 23 schools in the commune of Assinie were recognized for their brilliant results obtained during the 2024-2025 school year. This awards ceremony took place on Saturday, July 12 at the Place Royale d' Assinie , as part of the 3rd edition of the Prix d'Excellence, organized by the Fondation Bien-Être in collaboration with the town hall of Assinie -Mafia.

The celebration brought together a diverse array of stakeholders from educational and social life: administrative authorities, traditional chiefs, ministerial representatives, partner NGOs, teachers, and parents. All were keen to show their support for an initiative that, beyond rewards, recognizes the merit and hard work of learners, while reaffirming the central role of education in community development.

Maxwell Kouassi, municipal youth president and chairman of the organizing committee, set the tone with a powerful speech, calling for a collective vision where knowledge becomes Assinie 's primary asset . He praised the commitment of teachers and partners, before encouraging students to believe in their abilities and to cultivate discipline and effort, the key to a better future.

At the helm of this ambitious educational project, Michelle Aka, president of the Bien-Être Foundation, emphasized the importance of equipping the nation's future builders now. She affirmed that each award-winning child embodies a promise for the future, and that this recognition is not an end in itself, but a springboard to aim higher.

Institutional support was also highlighted by Ms. Kadiaké Aminata, representative of the National Education Inspectorate, who praised the work of educational stakeholders while congratulating the students for their rigor. In the same vein, the first deputy mayor, Koua Michel, presented the efforts made by the city hall to improve learning conditions, particularly through the construction of school infrastructure and the provision of transportation for students in remote areas.

The ceremony took on a national dimension with the participation of the Ministry of Women, Family, and Children, represented by Ms. N'Goran Soumahoro. In her speech, she praised an initiative that honors deserving young people and encourages them to pursue careers characterized by excellence, rigor, and passion.
